Gardens in this location overlooked open countryside with many, as in this case, having dense hedges or fences screening the view. The decision was taken to remove the existing hedge to bring the countryside in. Creative use of hard landscaping created areas for dining on the upper level. New borders were planted in a mix of herbaceous perennials to give colour and interest throughout the year. The project also encompassed the front garden and drive.
